Winchester Writers’ Conference

Flowers at Winchester

One of the pleasures of the conference: the flower arrangements in the dining room

A couple of days ago I received an email about this year’s conference. The main information is the dates. More is to follow apparently.

We are pleased to inform you that the dates are set for the Winchester Writers’ Conference.  This year the conference will be held from 22 – 24 June, 2012, followed by the In-Depth Weeklong Workshops, 25 – 29 June.  We are busily working on the conference brochure and details will be available by the end of March.

I didn’t make it to the conference last year, but I hear everyone had a good time – as usual.

I really enjoy the event. It’s great to be among people doing the same things as I am; to exchange ideas and experiences. I always learn a lot, rushing from one workshop to another, browsing the book fair and talking to other writers.

There are competitions and several opportunities to meet with agents and discuss completed or ongoing work.

Plus I have a fondness for Winchester as I used to go there often as a child.
