For the love of haiku – geese

I really like geese – feisty creatures who know their own importance. I’ve just finished a book in which a small flock of them have quite a large part, so I was really pleased that today’s prompt is goose.

Go to Carpe Diem for some lovely haiku.

This topic ties in with one of my passing questions today – do this year’s creatures, birds and other animals, wonder why the nice warm summer has stopped?

The young geese take wing;
follow their elders southward.
Do they know why?
