Roaming the byways of literature

About

Talking is also part of literature

Literature was born out of talk

I am a reader and a writer. My aim on this blog is to post about literature.

There are books I love and a few that bore me (I won’t blog about those).

There are poems and stories I write (but I won’t blog about them very often).

Literature connects with daily life, has a place in society, has a mass of academic theory. I’ll write about these things occasionally.

From time to time I write down my observations of people and happenings I meet. I’ll include some of these – they are the raw material of all creative endeavour.

  20. I totally agree. The Hubble has given us magnifient pictures of the universe and now it is going to treated like a piece on orbiting space junk and let crash to oblivion in the Pacific Ocean..

I’m sure they don’t want to spend the money to go up there and bring it back..and I think they should.

    • I thought there was a campaign for them to do just that. What became of it? I think they could have an international appeal to fundraise. Hubble means a lot to a lot of people.

  21. Thank you for viewing my post …. Universe sends us pictures of itself…

The great Hubble Telescope is a library of of pictures showing us the very foundation of our existence…what more profound can that be.

The Hubble Telescope will be replaced by the James West Telescope at which time the Hubble will lose orbital configuration and plunge in to the Pacific Ocean..but a library to continue with better and bigger response.

I like reading limericks but I’ve never written one. I suspect it’s harder than it looks.
